Muñecomas: art, color and music in the streets of Comas

For the fourth consecutive year, the park Revolution of urbanization (Comas) is the scene of the Fourth International Puppet Festival "Muñecomas" the biggest show of its kind in North Lima, held 7 to 10 last October.

The purpose of the festival is "to bring the world of puppets and animated objects to children and adults through free performances and shows of quality," said Jose Hernandez, promoter of the school Talent , organizer of the "Muñecomas."

Hernandez added that the news of the festival this year are the completion of an international workshop aimed at teachers, who knew the techniques and uses of puppetry in the classroom, and the exhibition of art, culture and education, led the general public.



As every year, the festival began with a parade that traveled the main streets and avenues of the urbanization of San Agustin . The audience joined the troupe, attracted by the music and colors of dolls of different sizes.

The theater group "Madero" was first presented to the public with a very short variety show fun entertainment, including music, clowns and poems. Its director, Teresa Roca, said "these activities are necessary for the community and is a good opportunity for artists to demonstrate what we think and want to express."

in its fourth edition, the "Muñecomas" in addition to bringing joy, color and music to the residents of the village and around San Augustine, also gave them the opportunity to appreciate culture, a growing area more grateful for the conduct of such shows.
