Los pilares del liderazgo

Learn to Lead

Recently I listened to Jack Welch, General Electric excel in a very interesting interview that has surprised me the ability to synthesize what he calls "The pillars of leadership."

For organizations to advance and achieve their objectives must exist and develop good leadership. Welch gives guidelines for the leader to exercise itself and become the cornerstone of your company:

1. Define a mission : as clear as possible and communicate to the team so that everyone knows where to go and identify certain behaviors that salespeople know them (values). Just so we know where we go and how to get there. The how and why.

2. Openness : not paying attention to the nonsense and say what you think it bluntly and directly. Must separate the wheat from the chaff. Pay attention to the facts and convey messages clearly, bluntly. This allows to assess each team member from the same prism. The entire organization is moving faster with candor. The organization must get used to this practice, not spin to say things. This only transmit clear messages.

3. Differentiation : Extreme care to the best team members, rewarding their efforts and work with good pay and quality work and projects. Human and economic reward. 70% of the middle band, show them what to do to reach the top with the best. We train them, are very important and needed in the computer. And for the lowest group, those who do not feel the project and that attitude permeates motivation, invite them to leave the organization. Will be better elsewhere. The sooner we do that with somebody's career, the better for it.

a better leader to his team constantly using every encounter as an opportunity to evaluate, train and create in him self-confidence. A leader makes sure that employees do not only see the vision, but the live and breathe. A leader gets into the skin of its people to convey positive energy and enthusiasm. A leader has the courage to follow your instincts to make decisions even if unpopular. A test leader and insists that curiosity about skepticism, making sure that your questions are answered with action. A leader always inspires to take risks and learn by example. And very importantly, a celebrated leader.
