Finally our food has a place to worship and this is the "Chef's House" located in the old Palace of the post, half a block from the bustling Plaza de Armas in the center Lima.
people watching in line for admission to this exhibition shows us how Peruvians are proud of the evolution of our food, which dates back thousands of years, since the the pre-Inca times to the present.

In the various and ample lounges in this space, we appreciate ceramics of the Moche, Nazca, vegetables and tubers, livestock, among others, as well as life-size models of our mountain farmers preparing a delicious pachamanca, ancient technique underground cooking vegetables and meats, with the heat of the stones. We also found other large-scale models, such as the kitchens of colonial times, the first bakery with wood-based stoves and prepare a modern oven roasted chicken.
Throughout this journey, the audience knows more about how people moved through different parts of the cities offering various desserts of the day (purple pudding, rice pudding, etc.). Likewise we can see how the old trucks were, where we found kebabs, picarones, tamales. A tribute to former promoters of our cuisine.
